MQTT Nova Broker facilitates communication between IoT devices on your local network. The app:
- Does not send any data to external servers
- Operates only within your local network
- Does not track or log message content beyond temporary processing
- Does not require internet connectivity for basic operation
4. Permissions
The app requires the following permissions to function:
- Network Access: To operate as an MQTT broker and accept client connections on your local network
- WiFi State: To display your device's IP address for client connections
MQTT Nova Broker does not access your:
- Camera or microphone
- Contacts or calendar
- Location or GPS
- Files or media storage (beyond app data)
5. Third-Party Services
MQTT Nova Broker does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app operates independently without sending data to external services.
6. Connected Devices
When IoT devices connect to your MQTT broker, they may send and receive data according to their own functionality. MQTT Nova Broker acts only as a message broker and does not:
- Store message content permanently
- Forward data to external servers
- Analyze or process message content beyond routing
You are responsible for ensuring the security of devices that connect to your broker.
7. Data Security
To protect your MQTT broker and connected devices, we recommend:
- Enabling authentication with strong credentials
- Using your broker only on trusted networks
- Keeping your device's operating system updated
- Using device security features (lock screen, encryption)
8. Children's Privacy
MQTT Nova Broker does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. The app is designed for technical users managing IoT infrastructure and home automation systems.
